Skater Matthew Gonzales has spoken out to praise his Dancing on Ice partner Danniella Westbrook.
The couple lost out on a place in the grand final of the ice dance contest after finding themselves in the skate-off with Gary Lucy and Maria Filippov on Sunday night.
Head judge Robin Cousins made the controversial decision of voting to keep Lucy in the competition even though the couple fell at the end of their routine.
Gonzales told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning that he was pleased with Danniella's professional attitude and her commitment to the show.
He said: "Danniella is so amazing and she really gives one hundred percent out there on the ice.
"To watch us now and consider how far we have come since our first week, its just incredible."
Danniella insisted that they had only managed to reach the semi-final because of their close bond.
She explained: "We are a team at the end of the day and you have to skate, and work like a team.
"We have worked together through good times, bad times and through the pain.
"You just get through it together."
