Dancing on Ice star Danniella Westbrook has said that did not expect to reach the finals of the ice dancing contest.
The former EastEnders actress told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning that she was pleased with how far she had advanced on the show.
Danniella was voted off during Sunday night's semi-final in a controversial decision after losing the skate-off with Gary Lucy.
Westbrook insisted that the judges had made "the correct choice" and she acknowledged that Lucy was "the better skater" on the night.
She explained: "I always knew that I would be leaving. I can't believe that I got as far as I did.
"It was the most amazing experience and for me it was the most humbling experience.
"The country is going through a bad time and people still picked up the phone and voted"
She added: "That actually meant more to me than getting to the semi-final."
Danniella confessed that she was not too upset at missing out on a place in the final.
She admitted: "That's the way it goes, someone has to leave.
"I am happy, I did better than I ever thought that I would."
