Last chance: Ashley says he'll do anything to keep Cheryl.
Ashley Cole has said that he is willing to take marriage guidance counselling in a bid to win back estranged wife Cheryl, a report has claimed. The Chelsea and England footballer is convinced that he still has a chance of saving his marriage.
The 29-year-old has told pals that he is hopeful that he can convince Cheryl to give him one last chance.
Ashley has not spoken with the X Factor judge since his return to the UK following a stint at a sports injury clinic in France two weeks ago.
However, Ashley has said that he still believes that the couple can be reconciled.
A pal told The People: "He is saying that until the day Cheryl serves divorce papers on him, the marriage is there to be saved.
"Ashley hasn't been put off by the way Cheryl behaved at their last meeting.
"He is thinking that because she hasn't got lawyers involved yet, she will back down and welcome him back. He's being pretty deluded though - there's no chance."
The source added: "The injury has given Ashley a lot of time to think about things.
"He's become more and more upbeat lately about being able to turn things around."
