Cheryl Cole has decided to delay the start of divorce proceedings against footballer husband Ashley, a report has claimed.
The X Factor judge is reportedly "torn" over the future of her marriage to the Chelsea defender.
Sources close to the 26-year-old have said that Cheryl is "still in love" with Ashley and has decided to have a six-month "cooling-off" period.
An insider told the News of the World: "Cheryl has decided to take a deep breath and wait before she makes a final decision.
"Deep down, she knows the marriage should be over. But her love for Ashley hasn't gone."
The pal told the newspaper that Cheryl was going to delay the start of any proceedings until after the World Cup this summer.
The source added: "She's going to take a few months before she starts any formal proceedings.
"That will be after the World Cup and it gives Ashley a bit of a reprieve."
