Former Corrie star Tupele Dorgu has confessed that she hoped her character would have had a more "exciting exit" from the Street. Dorgu first joined the Weatherfield drama in 2004 as Kelly Crabtree.
Tupele decided not to renew her contract and was last seen on our screens on Friday 19 March.
Crabtree left the Street in tears after she was fired from the Underworld factory.
She told The Sun: "I would have liked my last scene to be more dramatic."
The 32-year-old added: "When I chose to leave they said they were already so far along in storylines there was only so much they could do.
"Kelly wasn't involved heavily with a lot of people so it was easier to do that."
Dorgu has said that the time was right for her to leave the cobbled streets behind.
She said: "It's actually a great place to work, but I think in terms of the character, I wasn't doing as much as I wanted to and she wasn't developing."
