Dancing on Ice star Gary Lucy is considering a role Playing Kurt Cobain, according to reports. The soap actor thinks that portraying the late Nirvana singer would be something "totally different".
A source told a tabloid newspaper that Lucy is thinking about accepting a part in Kurt and Sid.
The play is about a fictitious meeting between Cobain and the Sex Pistols star Sid Vicious hours before Cobain's suicide.
A source told The Sun: "Playing Kurt Cobain would be far removed from the glitz and glamour of doing Dancing On Ice.
"Gary wants a new challenge and this would certainly be that."
Lucy has made it to the semi-finals of Dancing on Ice and will compete against Danniella Westbrook, Hayley Tammadon and Kieron Richardson for a place in the grand final.
He has claimed that his daughter India is his inspiration for taking part in the ice dance competition.
He revealed that the four-year-old was a big fan of the show and would be devastated if he did not make it to the final.
He told Bang Showbiz: "India absolutely loves Dancing on Ice and if I don't win she would be devastated so I'm doing it for her.
"But every Saturday I have to sit her down and tell her that tomorrow night might be daddy's last show, which she doesn't like."
