X Factor champion Joe McElderry has revealed that he has signed with a top modelling agency, says a report. The 18-year old has already posed for his first shoot for top agency Next Models.
Bosses at the agency believe that the Geordie singer looks like 50s heartthrob James Dean.
Joe told the Daily Mirror: "I couldn't believe it when I saw the pictures.
"I really enjoyed the shoot. It will be so exciting to do this alongside my music."
McElderry will be working on material his debut album for Simon Cowell's Syco label later this year but he has recently been considering other showbiz opportunities.
Joe recently revealed that he would relish an opportunity to star in a musical theatre production in the West End.
Joe said: "If the offer was there I wouldn't turn it down, I'll tell you that.
"There's nothing wrong with musical theatre. Some of the biggest singers in the world are there."
