Cheryl Cole spent Mother's Day planning her life without her estranged husband Ashley, a report has claimed. Cheryl discussed the future of her marriage to the Chelsea footballer with her mother Joan.
Sources told a tabloid newspaper that Joan has been considering Cheryl's plans to relocate to Hollywood.
Insiders have claimed that Ashley is unhappy with the "interference" from his mother-in-law and the footballer has blamed Cheryl's decision to allow Joan to move into their marital home for the break down of their marriage.
A source revealed that Joan "showed Ashley the door" when he returned to their Surrey mansion on Friday night.
An insider told the Daily Star: "He's very down. He expected to at least talk with Cheryl when he returned from France. But it didn't happen. Her mum took control and supervised him while he collected his stuff.
"Ashley suspects Joan is not exactly his No 1 fan at the moment. And the thought of the pair of them holed up on Mother's Day must have really hit him.
"Ashley wants to say his piece to Cheryl one-to-one with no external influence.''
