Cheryl Cole has rejected estranged hubby Ashley's attempts at reconciliation and asked him to leave the marital home, a report has claimed.
The X Factor judge is currently suffering from bronchitis and is convalescing at her mansion in Surrey.
Sources told a Sunday newspaper that the Chelsea footballer was hoping to have a face-to-face meeting with Cheryl on Friday night.
But the `Fight For This Love' singer told Ashley to collect his belongings and go, says the News of the World.
A source close to Cheryl told the newspaper: "There was no way she was going to let him stay the night.
"She let him come back to the house but made it clear he was only to collect some things then leave.
"In her mind he was there to pack his bags."
A source close to Ashley revealed that he was left "distraught" by Cheryl's attitude.
A football insider revealed: "It was obvious something had gone badly wrong the night before. He was visibly upset, and we were shocked at his appearance.
"He's a complete state and in a bad way. He was dishevelled, which is unusual for him. It was as if he didn't care about how he looks any more.
"He also looked very gaunt. It was obvious he's lost a lot of weight and hasn't been looking after himself."
