Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle has said that all the members of the band "respect" each other. The 24-year-old denied rumours that she is jealous of Cheryl's solo success.
The US-based singer also dismissed stories that she has failed to support her bandmate following Cheryl's split from her husband Ashley.
She told The Sun: "We respect each other. And of course I sent Cheryl a message when it went wrong with Ashley.
"I don't have a problem if she sells more albums than me. I'm sure she'd feel the same way the other way round."
Nadine revealed that she would "say nothing" if she bumped into the Chelsea defender but added that she is not comfortable discussing the end of Cheryl's marriage.
She said: "It's awkward for any of the girls to talk about.
"If they get back together and we've said bad things, then it's going to be difficult."
Coyle has given the strongest sign that she and Cheryl have not had a falling out by asking the X Factor judge to duet on her CD.
She wrote on her Twitter site: "I'm hearing stupid talk about Cheryl and I having a fall out.
"Def NOT the case. I've written a song I'd love for us to duet on."
