Frock shock: Cheryl could earn millions from clothes.
Cheryl Cole could be about to land a lucrative deal after finding herself at the centre of a bidding war between rival fashion houses, a report has claimed. The X Factor judge could stand to make £5million from a series of deals to front fashion collections.
Sources have revealed that Italian designer Roberto Cavalli has reportedly offered Cheryl £1.3million to front his autumn-winter collection.
It is believed that two other major fashion labels have also come forward with potential contracts worth £2million.
Industry experts told the Daily Mirror that the Girls Aloud singer could "easily double" this amount with further deals.
Claire Beale, of Campaign magazine, said: "Cheryl is a great brand icon.
"She is the Victoria Beckham for a new generation of women - but perhaps cooler and more streetwise than Posh.
"Her fashion credentials aren't yet up to Victoria's, and she's still a little more high street than couture.
"But she combines beauty , poise and elegance with warmth and a big personality.
"That's a very rare combination and it's easy to see why she would be an asset to any fashion brand."
She added: "Cheryl is a fantastic example of an ordinary girl made good. Hers is a real fairytale story but she's still down-to-earth enough to be immensely popular with a broad range of women. No wonder she's in such demand."
