Ian Wright has branded Melinda Messenger "annoying" and reckons 'Live From Studio Five' is better without her.
The ex-glamour model quit her position on the presenting panel of the teatime magazine programme recently, but Ian said he prefers the show now, as Melinda used to dominate their on-air discussions.
Ian said: "Melinda would drown us out so many times and it was annoying. People don't want to turn on to see people arguing."
Ian, 46, hosts the show with former 'The Apprentice' contestant Kate Walsh, and they have been joined by guest presenters including Emma Willis and Natalie Pinkham since Melinda quit to pursue other projects at the end of February. Show bosses are said to be looking for a permanent replacement for the panel.
Ian added he wants to interview England team football star Ashley Cole - who has recently split with his pop star wife Cheryl Cole over allegations he cheated on her with a string of women - for the show.
He said: "I'd like to ask him, 'What happened? What were you thinking?'. There are two sides to it."
The show - which launched last September - recently won its best viewing figures so far, with over half a million people regularly tuning in daily.
'Live From Studio Five' is broadcast on weekdays at 6.25 pm on Five.
