Mikey's man: Jason stood by his vote.
Dancing on Ice judge Jason Gardiner has revealed that Mikey Graham should not have been eliminated. The Boyzone singer found himself in the skate-off with Daniella Westbrook.
Graham was voted off after only two judges voted to save him. Nicky Slater joined Jason in wanting to keep the singer in the competition.
However, they were outnumbered by Karen Barber, Emma Bunton and Robin Cousins who chose to keep Westbrook.
Writing on Twitter, Gardiner commented: "I stand by my vote for Mikey.
"We have required elements for a reason and he gave a solid performance plus nailed the spins. Danniella didn't."
Talking about his time spent on the show, Mikey said: "There comes a time at the end of every party when it's time to leave.
"And I've really had the most amazing journey. It's such an adventure."
He also paid tribute to his late bandmate Stephen Gately who died last year and had also taken part in the show, saying: "I want to thank Stephen up there."
