Dancing on Ice star Maria Filippov has been "terrified" by a stalker who has been following her to rehearsals for the show, a report has claimed. The 36-year-old professional ice dancer is partnering Gary Lucy in the reality TV contest.
Sources have revealed that show bosses have used decoys drivers to ensure that the stalker is unable to find out where she lives.
Maria told Dancing on Ice chiefs that she was suspicious of a driver in a white van while taking part in rehearsals for the show in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire.
The man is said to have followed the Bulgarian skating star to the rink and was seen lurking outside the gates to the studios, says the Daily Star Sunday.
Dancing on Ice security used a decoy car to make sure that the man was unable to follow Maria back home.
A show insider told the newspaper: "She was absolutely terrified by what happened and everyone was shocked when she told them about her ordeal.
"Security didn't want to take any chances and it was a good job their team acted so quickly otherwise the man might well have discovered where she lived - which doesn't even bear thinking about."
The source added: "Luckily, she is someone who is extremely vigilant so she noticed pretty much straightaway that she was being followed.
"Everything is being done to ensure she is all right."
