Torch light: John Barrowman wants to do Captain Jack again.

Scot John Barrowman claims he knows nothing of the future of Torchwood. He has said he’d love to come back as Captain Jack, but doesn’t know if it will happen.

Speaking to the Digital Spy website he said: “I don't know if we're gonna be filming Torchwood.”I haven't heard anything. I haven't heard anything about what you're talking about! I only know that I would - at the drop of a hat - love to do Torchwood again.

“I would love to do more than five episodes. But if we're only going to do five episodes, I'm happy with that."

The popular Doctor Who spin-off has a die-hard cult following.

He added: "I love the character, I love the show, and I would love to do it again. But I don't have any other information - I'm so sorry.”

Torchwood tells of the Torchwood Institute in Cardiff where Captain Jack Harkness leads his team into extraterrestrial research.

Ubiquitous Barrowman has also got a part in the next Desperate Housewives series and is signed up to star in a pantomime in his native Glasgow later this year.
