Dancing on Ice host Phillip Schofield has claimed that Sharron Davies caused a "frosty" atmosphere on the set. The Olympic swimmer decided to change the music and routine she was given.
Davies was unhappy with the choice made by show mentors Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.
She said she made the decision to change to a slower number because she found the fast dance number difficult because of injuries she sustained during her swimming career.
Writing on Twitter after the show, Schofield remarked: "My God, it was as frosty off the ice as it was on tonight!!
"Never known a show like it - sensational."
He added: "With regards to the frostiness, it's never good to tell Olympic Gold medallists and international skating legends that you know better!!!"
Sharron was voted off the show after she and professional partner Pavel Aubrecht found themselves in the skate-off alongside Emily Atack and Fred Palascak.
Davies said: "I have enjoyed my time here. First and foremost, I had the best partner I could ever wish for.
"It's been just fantastic. I've really enjoyed the guys over here - they're great skaters and most importantly they're fantastic people."
