Big Brother: Or should that be Big Sister as trannies turn out in droves
Katie Price may be busy showing everyone she wears the trousers when it comes to negotiating multi-million mega deals for her and her new hubby.
But it’s Alex Reid’s fondness for frocks that has proved a real eye opener for Big Brother bosses as they set about picking the line up for the last ever series of Big Brother this summer.
According to a repprt in The Daily Star the fact that hunky Alex has a cross dressing alter ego Roxanne has meant fellow trannys are now desperate to follow suit come out of the closet and enter the house.
BB production staff who have been busy vetting possible contestants for this year’s show told reporters they have never seen so many cross dressers try out for Big brother.
And it seems it’s all down to Alex, who despite being teased by movie hardman Vinnie Jones about his predilection for dressing up in women’s clothes, emerged victorious from the CBB house last month.
A source said: “Clearly Alex has had an effect. He’s been an inspiration to other trannies who are thinking, ‘If Alex can do it, so can I.’ “Let’s hope the producers build more closets in the house this summer for the guy’s frocks.”
Past cross dressers in the house include BB6’s Kemal Shain and BB7’s Sam Brodie.
