John and Edward Grimes have revealed that they were pleased that Calvin Harris invaded the stage during their performance on The X Factor last year, says a report.

Simon Cowell issued a life-ban for Harris after he jumped on stage during the live finals on the reality TV talent show.

Calvin stormed the stage with a pineapple on his head during the duo's performance of `Under Pressure' during Queen week.

Edward told the Daily Record that the brothers had thought that Harris was a dancer.

He explained: "I didn't see him when he first came on and he usually looks different because he wears sunglasses, but it was cool. I thought afterwards, 'Oh my God, he came all the way to the show and brought a pineapple with him'."

John added: "It was weird. I thought Calvin was a dancer at first. Then I thought, 'Oh, it's him'.

"I'd like to tell Calvin thanks for coming on with the pineapple. I hope he didn't get in too much trouble."
