The Saturdays say 'bands on The X Factor don't gel'

The Saturdays have said that groups formed on The X Factor struggle as they do not have a chance to get to know each other. The band claimed that it "takes time" to get to know each other properly.

The `Ego' singers said that groups should work on developing their act.

Band member Rochelle Wiseman told the Daily Mail: "A lot of those bands are put together just to go on the show.

"But you need to gel and blend - and that's not something you can do over a ten-week show."

"It's a shame that a lot of people think that to be famous you have to go on The X Factor."

Singer Mollie King auditioned for the talent show in 2007 with group Fallen Angelz.

King, recently admitted that she was disappointed that solo artists and boybands were more successful on The X Factor than girlbands.

She told the Daily Star: "There really needs to be some more girlbands coming out of The X Factor because they always seem to go out at the beginning. I really don't get it."
