Delighted to have made it through the first week, Heather began training this week determined to work on the advice of the judges.
Jayne and Chris decided to add a complex variation of required lift, the spiral, in the hope of proving that the charity campaigner was able to demonstrate flow between her transitions.
“I have got to lift my leg up quite high and, of course, it weighs a lot more than anyone else’s leg because it has got a weight on the end of it so I was really pleased I managed to get it to a decent level.
“If one move goes wrong then we have just got to land a big heap and have a good laugh."
She added: “All I ever wanted was not to be out first so anything else is a bonus.”
Taking to the ice in matching ice blue outfits and performing to Madonna’s Frozen, Heather successfully tackled a levitation lift, egyptian lift and a forward dive in a physically challenging routine which scored her a more than credible 16.
After the performance, partner Matt said he was “absolutely speechless that Heather is able to do what she is doing.”
Moving to the judges, Emma said: “You look very confident which is great. You can see you totally trust your partner which is great. All I would say is relax your face and shoulders a bit more and look like you’re enjoying it.”
