Reality TV show Celebrity Big Brother will return to our TV screens in the near future, a report has claimed. Channel 4 sources have said that bosses were "premature" in making the decision to axe the programme.
Show host Davina MCCall has led calls to see the return of the celebrity franchise of the reality show after channel bosses decided that the current series would be the last ever.
Davina said: "I think Celebrity Big Brother has got legs...but who knows what will happen?"
A show source has claimed that the show is too successful to be axed.
They told the Daily Star Sunday: "There is no way this is the end. It may be rested a year or two but it will definitely be back.
"The ratings and the buzz about this year's series has been too big for it to be axed forever."
The current series has enjoyed some of Channel 4's biggest audiences for the year and almost 6million viewers watched the launch episode.
The source added: "Everyone working on the show believes it still has a future.
"Whether that's with Channel 4 or not, it won't be the last you see of the show.
"It's way too big a hit to be thrown on the scrap heap."
