Kandy Rain have slammed reports which claimed that X Factor star Jamie `Afro' Archer was dating band member Coco Lloyd.
The girlband, who were the first act to be eliminated from the 2009 X Factor finals, have been talking to "set the record straight" about their stint on the TV talent contest.
Singer Azi told Digital Spy that reports of a fling between Coco and the big-haired rocker were fabricated by tabloid newspapers.
She explained: "There was never a romance.
"We all live together and I was reading all these things, but they are not even true. We are all friends and hug each other, but the press just decided to put Jamie and Coco together."
She added: "No disrespect to Jamie, but he is not Coco's type."
The girls also claimed that the media had printed a number of dubious claims about the band during their stint on the show.
Azi said: "We can swear that we never performed or formed the band in a stripclub. It is completely untrue."
Chemmane said: "That went on throughout the show. It was a load of rubbish. Can you imagine that happening? The likelihood is ridiculous."
Azi added: "And The X Factor never mentioned the fact that I was signed to Sony BMG just to save their own ass."
