Britain's Got Talent's singing sensation Susan Boyle received two marriage proposals upon her arrival in Tokyo, according to a report. The 48-year-old landed in Tokyo on Tuesday to film a TV special.
Boyle was met by thousands of screaming fans at the airport and two admirers who "begged" Susan to marry them, says the Daily Mirror.
Susan was ushered through the mass of photographers and adoring fans at Narita airport on her first-ever visit to the country.
A fan, who had waited for seven hours to catch a glimpse of the Scot, said that the scenes at the airport were reminiscent of the arrival of The Beatles in 1966.
Akiyama Hanako said: "There is so much affection for Susan. She is an idol to us. Everyone wants to meet her.
"I was near the front but got pushed aside when she appeared. One gentleman kept on saying `Susan, kekkon shite kudasai!' He was asking her to marry him over and over again. We have not seen scenes like this since the Beatles."
Sources told the newspaper that another man was seen asking for Susan's hand in marriage.
Boyle is scheduled to sing a traditional Japanese song on the country's biggest Hogmanay show, Kohaku Uta Gassen.
It is thought that she will also sing her signature song `I Dreamed A Dream' from her hit debut album.
