Ricky Whittle and Carley Stenson will spend Christmas apart despite recently rekindling their romance.
The 'Hollyoaks' stars got back together earlier this month after ending their two-year relationship weeks earlier but they want to take things slowly.
Ricky - who competes in the final of 'Strictly Come Dancing' on Saturday (19.12.09) - said: "We are very much back on, but it's early days yet and we're not spending Christmas together."
Ricky was dumped by Carley amid claims he had cheated on her, but the handsome star convinced her to give their relationship another go.
A friend of the couple said: "Ricky's a gorgeous man and he gets a lot of attention, but at the end of the day Carley knows he really adores her.
"It's been tough for them but they can't imagine life without each other."
Rumours had circulated saying Ricky had cheated on Carley last December, which sources believe are at the root of the split.
A source said: "Carley has been crying ever since the split. She loves Ricky but when she found out he had cheated on her, she just couldn't trust him."
