Sir Paul McCartney and George Michael have reportedly both agreed to appear on The X Factor final. During the final show, each of the contestants gets to sing a duet with a pop superstar.
Simon Cowell has supposedly managed to convince the music legends to appear and is hoping to find a third star for the finale.
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is being courted by Simon to appear ,according to the Sunday Mirror.
A source told the newspaper: "After last year's duets with Beyoncé, Boyzone and Westlife he knew he had to pull out all the stops to make this year's even better."
Geordie lad Joe McElderry is currently the bookies' favourite to win the competition with odds of 8/11.
Recent claims suggested that Cowell's decision to choose a Hannah Montana song 'The Climb' as the winner's single has angered Olly Murs and Danyl Johnson.
A source told The Sun: "Olly and Danyl have just given up on winning now, they have thrown in the towel.
"They hate the song so both of them just look defeated.
"They realise Simon now wants Joe [McElderry] and Stacey [Solomon] in the final as it only really suits them."
