Zoe Lister is glad her character doesn't die when she exits 'Hollyoaks'.
The actress - who plays Zoe Carpenter in the Channel 4 soap - said death scenes are too simple and she hopes her character can have a positive exit from the show when she leaves after three years.
She said: "You don't have to do much in a death scene, just scream and that's it. But I suppose you get remembered for it!
"I'd really like something positive for Zoe because she's had such a c**p year. She really needs to go and do something for herself. On her own, and independent. She needs to go find herself."
Zoe is also planning on going it alone in real life and, although she is nervous, is positive she will find work on stage and screen.
She added: "I'm totally panicked. But also very excited; it's going to be a whole new world. I quite like a bit of upheaval in my life every few years. I'm trying to keep a lid on the terror.
"As for plans? Plans? Ha! Hopefully some theatre, quality dramas and so on. As long as I'm working. I'd love to do a period drama. A Bronte would be good, but they've all been on recently."
