Rebecca Wheatley said she has "lots of creepy skin" following her dramatic weight loss.

The former 'Casualty' actress told how, following shedding 12 stone in two years, she had surgery to remove the excess skin her dramatic dieting had left her with.

Rebecca, who played receptionist Amy Howard in the BBC medical soap - said: "Because I used to be so big, I had a lot of excess skin on my stomach, which wasn't going to go no matter how many sit ups I did, so I had a tummy tuck last year.

"It has helped tighten things up but it has left me with scars, although I hope they fade a little in time.

"And I still have lots of creepy skin around the tops of my thighs and on my 'bingo wings'."

Rebecca, 44, said she made her decision to diet just three weeks after marrying husband Mahmut Dal, 37. She undertook a strict diet plan and went from a size 32 to a size 12, but warned she knows she will now be on a diet for the rest of her life.

She added to Closer magazine: "My life really did begin at 40, when I started my diet. I'm determined to stay focussed and slim for as long as possible. I just know it's a journey I'll be on for the rest of my life."

If you actually read the Closer magazine article, from which this is taken, Rebecca says she has "crepey" (as in crepe paper)skin on her arms, not creepy.
