Dannii Minogue has confirmed that X Factor semi-finalists Stacey Solomon and Olly Murs are not an item.
The X Factor judge tweeted on Monday that the pair were not romantically involved after a fan asked if there was any spark between the two X Factor contestants.
The news comes as little surprise after both Stacey and Olly denied claims that they were a couple on The Xtra Factor show this weekend.
The X Factor choreographer Brian Friedman also diminished claims about the Essex pair last week, stating that he had not seen "any sparks" between the two singers.
Friedman told PA: "I don't think there's anything going on there at all - I wish there was.”
"Stacey and Olly are two of the most fun people to be around so they would make a great couple, but unfortunately, I haven't seen any fireworks."
Stacey and Olly will be fighting it out on Saturday against Joe McElderry and Danyl Johnson for one of three spots in The X Factor final.
Judge Simon Cowell stated on The Xtra Factor that Cheryl’s remaining act Joe McElderry was the contestant the others had to watch after he wowed the judges on Saturday with his performance of the Elton John song Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word.
'The person we've all got to beat right now is Joe,' he said.
Janet Jackson and Lady Gaga will also take to The X Factor stage this weekend with Jackson making her only UK TV performance of 2009.
