X Factor star Lloyd Daniels has confessed that he thought that Louis Walsh had been particularly "mean" during his criticism of his live performances throughout his time on the show.
The 16-year-old told Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on This Morning that Louis made a number of backstage apologies after slating him on live TV.
Louis had repeatedly told Lloyd that he did not think that he deserved a place in the final five and said that he was "not good enough" to make the semi-final.
Phillip suggested to Lloyd that Louis had made no attempt to disguise his dislike for the youngster's performances during his stint on the talent show.
Lloyd agreed: "Not really, no but backstage he said to me every week, `I am so sorry', but I can't please everybody and I know that.
"Louis was the one judge that I could not please."
Holly added: "Louis was criticising the choir, he is criticising everything this year."
Lloyd's departure leaves Joe McElderry as Cheryl Cole's sole protege to go on to contest for a place in the finale.
