I'm A Celebrity producers are reportedly in a panic over concerns ratings will slump in the wake of Joe Bugner's departure from the show.
The former boxer was given the boot at the weekend after losing out to Hollyoaks actor Stuart Manning in the jungle jail trial.
Bugner had created some sparks by rowing with Sabrina Washington and Kim Woodburn during his time in the jungle.
An insider claimed: "Joe leaving was the last thing bosses wanted.
“He has been the centre of attention and has helped to create quite a few arguments.
"Stuart's a nice guy but is seriously dull. They can't have the interesting people picked off."
The audience figures were reported to have dropped in the wake of Katie Price's exit, who was forced by public vote into a series of Bushtucker Trials until she couldn’t take any more.
Now Bugner's exit has apparently created new concerns. The insider added: "Ratings might tumble even further."
