Kate Price used her time on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! to devise a secret plan to win back ex-husband Peter Andre, a report has claimed.
Sources told a tabloid newspaper that the 31-year-old even decided to return to the reality TV show as part on the scheme to "impress" Pete.
Insiders claimed that Katie returned to I'm A Celeb to "remind Peter of better times" and that she decided to "act like a trooper" to prove to Andre that she was still a "decent person".
The sources told the Daily Star that Katie's decision to dump Alex Reid on live TV was a ploy to win back Pete, as was her public apology for her recent behaviour.
An insider said: "Kate is desperate to get Pete back and her jungle appearance was all part of her game plan.
"She's finally realised what she's lost and will try anything to claw her way back into his heart.
"But she thought he wouldn't be able to forgive her unless she dumped Alex live on the show.
"She knows she went too far after splitting from Pete."
