Stuart Manning and Joe Bugner faced a head-to-head Bushtucker trial tonight in a bid to survive another night in the jungle.
The Jungle Jail trial ignited the survival skills and competitive nature in the celebrities because it would have a direct impact on their jungle life-span. Normally the goal in a trial is to win supplies for the full camp, this one had nothing to do with team work – it really was survival of the fittest.
After Ant and Dec described the task, both celebrities were locked up in separate cells inside the jungle jail. The stars had to rummage around and find an escape hatch in the floor. Once they worked out the combination that unlocked the hatch they had to delve into an underground tunnel that was inhabited by ten-thousand large and small critters. The stars were very unnerved at the thought of all the creatures and critters. Medic Bob tried to reassure the campers:
“Be gentle to them, they’ll be gentle to you.”
Once Stuart made it underground he had to find hidden keys to open gates throughout the tunnel. Stuart successfully made it though and back up to ground to ring the bell before Joe had even worked out his combination.
Stuart returned to the camp victorious and with a new lease of life, while Joe was left “disappointed” and was forced out of camp.
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! continues tomorrow evening at 8.30pm on STV.
