Strictly Come Dancing – Will Arlene Phillips return?

Craig Revel Horwood has reportedly suggested that Arlene Phillips may return to the Strictly Come Dancing show.  The 66-year-old judge was replaced by Alesha Dixon on the BBC One show earlier this year.

The judge hinted that Strictly bosses were hoping to bring back the axed judge for the next series of the popular dancing show.  Craig also commented that Arlene has a new show - So You Think You Can Dance – starting on the BBC in January.  He suggested to the Sunday Mirror newspaper that it could all have been part of a long-term plan.

The Strictly panellist said: "It's all up for question. It's possible it's a conspiracy. Has anyone thought of that?

There were a lot of rumours surrounding Arlene's dismissal about whether she left of her own accord.”

The controversial judge admitted that he would like to see Arlene back on the judging panel with him and hinted that it might happen soon:

“(But) I think Arlene is more than capable of coming back. She's coming on the live tour and it's not as if she's not liked.

“I would love to have her back and I've missed her."

Arlene Phillips recently told the guardian newspaper that she “loved” the Strictly Come Dancing Show and admitted that she was still struggling to come to terms with her sacking:

"It's never stopped being painful. It never goes away. Saturdays have become like, you know, the Boomtown Rats, 'I Don't Like Mondays'. I don't like Saturdays."

The quarter-final of Strictly Come Dancing starts at 6.40pm this Saturday on BBC One.
