Natalie Cassidy was voted of 'Strictly Come Dancing' last night (28.11.09).

The ballroom dancing show's judges opted to save 'Hollyoaks' actor Ricky Whittle over the former 'EastEnders' star after she gained a low score for her rock'n'roll routine to Little Richard's 'Long Tall Sally'.

Ricky – who missed out on vital practice this week after he was arrested in the early hours of Friday (27.11.09) over a fracas outside a nightclub – also scored his lowest in the entire series, finding himself in the bottom two dacne off against Natalie.

Showing he is still a favourite to win the show, however, the judges unanimously decided to save Ricky.

Upon learning of her exit from the show Natalie said: "I've had the most amazing time, it has been the best experience ever."

She and dance partner Vincent Simone were given a standing ovation by the crowd as they walked off the dancefloor.

Meanwhile, judge Craig Revel Horwood has claimed show Judge Arlene Phillips may return to the judging panel next year.

Arlene, 66, was replaced with winner of the 2007 series of the show, Alesha, Dixon, 31, earlier this year, leading to allegations of ageism – but the ex-Misteeq singer has already said she may not return to the panel next year in order to focus on her singing career.

Craig said: "I think Arlene is more than capable of coming back. She's coming on the live tour and it's not as if she's not liked. I would love to have her back and I've missed her."
