X Factor star Rhydian Roberts has said that Cheryl Cole does not deserve her place on the judging panel of the hit TV show, according to a report. The 26-year-old claimed that Cole was only on the talent show "because of her looks".
Rhydian told the News of the World that he believes that the contestants do not take her comments seriously.
He said: "She's not a great singer and being a judge isn't the hardest job in the world.
"You sit there and tell people when a note is flat. Cheryl's eye candy. Simon's the only judge people care about."
He added: "I'd do it for what they get paid."
Roberts also said that he was not overly impressed by the standard of this year's finalists.
He explained: "The standard's not very good. John and Edward were the most entertaining but they can't sing. And Lloyd's lucky to still be there.
"Danyl's the best singer but the public don't seem to like him. Joe's second but his voice is a bit stage school.
"Olly's the most popular. He might be a late bloomer like Alexandra Burke who won last year."
