I’m A Celebrity…George Hamilton mates with P Diddy! No, honestly

He may come across as the jungle’s bumbling, if slightly eccentric and mischevious elder statesman.

But camp mates in any doubt as to George Hamilton’s A-list credentials had plenty of gossip to chew over as he spilled the beans on some of the stars he’s met in his time on tonight’s show (Thu Nov 26).

Hollywood A-listers on George’s trip down memory lane included ex-squeezes Elizaebth Taylor and Basic instinct star Sharon Stone. “We went out together, we worked together,“  he told the camp about Hollywood legend Taylor.

“Elizabeth is an extraordinary human being and an amazing friend” and Basic Instinct star Sharon Stone.

The 70-year-old smoothie shot even further up in his fellow jungle celebs’ estimation as he rattled off opinions on other major players of Hollywood’s Golden Age.

On dating Marilyn Monroe he said: “She was forever getting ready.  She’d come out and she’d say how does my hair look, then go back and fiddle with it some more.”

Other stars in George’s sights included legendary hellraiser Errol Flynn: [David] “Niven said one of the best things about Errol Flynn ever.  He said you can always count on Errol Flynn to let you down.”

He also revealed he used to pass on scripts to Breakfat At Tiffanys and A Team star George Peppard.

“I used to pick up a script and if it was heavy I’d hand it to George Peppard and say this is a good one for you.  It’s got a lot of lines in it.

George also offered to put in a word for former Misteeq singer with hip hop superstar P Diddy, who the Hollywood veteran still refers to as Puff Daddy.

“Puffy’s a very good friend of mine, “ he told her.“ I like him a lot.  Do you want me to speak to him.  Would you like that?”

A clearly impressed Sabrina said later: “George hangs with the old and the new.  He’s got swagger.”

George also regaled the camp with tales from when he first started out that and claimed that when he made his first movie, co-star Robert Mitchum wryly told him: "You know they say I don’t know any lines. It’s not true.  I’m just too drunk to say ‘em.”
