I’m A Celebrity: 'Stubrina' on hold as Gino and Sabrina spend the night together!

Married TV chef Gino D’Acampo and former Misteeq singer Sabrina Washington have spent the night together. But any suggestion of illicit romance in the jungle are wide of the mark as it was strictly business for the celebs as they took part in an overnight challenge to win some treats for camp.

On tonight’s show (Thu 26 Nov) the pair were seen undertaking the challenge which involved them having to cross a ravine tightrope and then setting up temporary camp.

Faced with the tightrope challenge Gino said: “This is crazy,” while an energised Sabrina gushed: “At first it was fine because it was quite steady but nearer to the middle it started shaking, wobbling.

It seemed like I was up there forever.  This experience is making me fearless of anything.  I’m like bring it on. Heights, I’m over it!”

The pair then had to stay awake until sunrise to ensure that the minute hand on a clock in their temporary base camp never reached the half hour mark. Temptation was on hand in the shape of beer and sausages but they stuck to their task, emerging victorious, if slightly bleary eyed.

On completing their chest challenge, despite Gino falling asleep at one point, the couple won treats galore for the camp.  “We were awake all night and we are knackered,” said Gino, who…er actually wasn’t awake all night..

“The most beautiful thing of all night was when I saw the light through the trees.  I never got so excited for a sunrise.”

Sabrina who stayed awake by singing all night confessed: “I don’t want to see another clock again. I don’t want to know the time actually.”

Their endeavours, which saw them win unlabelled tins of food, were well received by the camp and Gino even managed to prepare an unlikely feast with their bounty. “Who knew that a staple tin of spam could send the entire camp into such rhapsodies,” he laughed. Not so much the jungle as spam valley then.

Meanwhile, there’s still  no sign of a ‘Stubrina’ romance yet despite the rest of the camp teasing the two singletons about when they’ll get it together.

Gino, who is convinced they fancy each other, told Stuart that he thought he’d dreamt he’d bought a new car because he kept calling out ‘Sab, Sab!’ But the pair of them denying that there’s anything going on.

"Sabrina is single and so am I, everyone can have a little dig at or a joke about us and it just makes us both laugh as it’s so ridiculous," said Stuart, who told Sabrina: "We’re just good mates, I’d understand it if I was always trying to touch you or something but nothing has happened at all.”

He added: "People are obsessed, two people have got to get together – why are they so intrigued? I’m not in it to have a relationship."

Sabrina agreed, telling the Bush Telegraph: "I don’t know what they are trying to do but I think it’s hilarious and I get on with Stuart just like everyone else."
