Former X Factor finalist Rhydian Roberts has said that he hopes Stacey Solomon wins series six of The X Factor.
Stacey’s mentor Dannii Minogue tweeted the Welsh singer’s top choice on Thursday, only a couple of hours after he controversially announced that he did not want Simon Cowell’s act Danyl Johnson to win.
Parading the Jedward hairstyle long before the boys came on the scene, Roberts said that Danyl constantly either feels sorry for himself, or is arrogant and is “not a nice guy” despite being able to sing “fairly well.”
Roberts was himself portrayed as the ‘baddie’ of 2007’s The X Factor, in which he finished second to Leon Jackson, and was regularly criticised for his ‘arrogant’ behaviour.
He said: "When I was on the show you were not allowed to use in-ear monitoring. It just freaks me out seeing this guy, who - if he's already a diva - woe betide going forward, because it only gets more difficult.
"I can see he can sing fairly well, but he's not a nice guy... That's the truth, he sings flat!"
The former X Factor contestant is making his opinions well known ahead of his second album O Fortuna, due to be released on November 30.
Recording duets with musicians such as Bryn Terfel, Catrin Finch and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, the classical singer will be hoping to top his debut album which sold over 500,000 copies.
He will also be appearing on our screens next month as he appears on the TV special, I Dreamed A Dream – The Susan Boyle Story.
