Janet Jackson and Lady Gaga have been confirmed as guests on the penultimate X Factor Results show. The pair will take to the stage which has attracted superstars such as the Black Eyed Peas, Whitney Houston and Bon Jovi to name but a few, on December 6.
This will be Janet Jackson’s first UK TV performance of 2009 and comes after her recently released compilation of greatest The Best.
Lady Gaga, who has had a phenomenal year, with her debut album selling four million copies worldwide, will be performing her latest hit single, Bad Romance, for the first time ever on UK TV.
Rihanna and Alicia Keys are the special guests set to perform this week in a result show which will see either contestants Stacey, Olly, Danyl, Joe or Lloyd lose their place in the hit reality talent show.
The format of the show will change this week as the sing-off is scrapped and the judges lose their power to save a contestant. The final decision of who stays and who leaves will be completely down to the public vote.
Guests on series six of The X Factor so far have been: Robbie Williams; Alexander Burke; Cheryl Cole; Whitney Houston; Michael Buble; Bon Jovi; JLS; Black Eyed Peas; Leona Lewis; Mariah Carey and Susan Boyle.
To date, Alexandra Burke, Cheryl Cole, JLS, Black Eyed Peas and Leona Lewis have all went on to top either the single or album UK charts since their exclusive performance on the show. Susan Boyle is expected to top the charts this weekend after performing her debut single Wild Horses last weekend.
The competition goes up a notch this week as the five remaining contestants tackle two songs each. They will all perform one Elton John song and one Take That song.
