I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! bosses have held a series of "crisis" talks following the revelation that almost 2million viewers have stopped watching the show, according to a report.
Sources told the Daily Star that show executives have confirmed that viewing figures have slumped following the early departure of Katie Price from the jungle reality show.
The glamour model decided to walk on Monday night's episode after being selected to perform a seventh consecutive Bushtucker Trial.
Viewing figures show that more than 10million fans tuned in to watch her exit episode on Monday but only 8million tuned in to watch the show on Tuesday night.
Show bosses are concerned that viewers have lost interest in the reality contest since the controversial glamour model left the jungle camp.
An insider said: "We're starting to think we shot ourselves in the foot.
"OK, Jordan got everyone talking but now people don't care what's going on."
Meanwhile, hosts Ant and Dec have claimed that Katie may have gone on to be crowned Queen of the jungle.
Dec said: "We'll miss her. We're disappointed and sad she's gone
"We thought she would have a better time in there once the public stopped voting for the trials and she could relax a bit more and enjoy the experience, but she's gone before she got the chance."
Ant added: "We will never know if the public would have kept her in, voted her out and even if she could have gone on to win it.
"We will have to forever wonder!"
