The mother of three dropped the bombshell when she appeared on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here to explain her reasons for quitting the jungle.
Asked by host Ant McParland whether she had a game plan 'what with speculation concerning boyfriend Alex Reid flying out to propose,' she said: ‘I’ve done a lot of reflecting. I think it’s best that I’m on my own.
“I just don’t want to be in a relationship. I want to be on my own. I don’t want a relationship. I hope we can remain friends. I’m not with him, no."
She told Ant and Dec how being in the camp had made her reflect on her past: ”I’ve come out here as a new person and I’m going to have fresh start.
“The past seven months I’ve acted like a twit. I’m sorry if I upset people.”
She also revealed that one of the reasons she quit was that she was constantly surrounded by memories of her time spent in the jungle with ex-hubby Peter Andre.
Earlier she told camp mates: “I met a husband here, had kids and I’ve had so much shit, coming back is like a big circle for me.
“I didn’t break down, I was strong because this is a unique place to meet someone and there are lots of reminders here all the time.
I sit there and I picture things, I’ve done the hardest bit I had to do. [There have been] constant reminders all the time but I’ve dealt with it and been strong.”

Katie hugged Michelle and asked “Is there lots of goss?”
Michelle said “Alex . . .” Katie replied “Oh no. Just say the truth. Just say what’s happened.”
“He was supposed to be coming over to propose to you” said Michelle. “What?!” exclaimed Katie, looking shocked and surprised.
Michelle explained “We think live on TV. Listen you know how we all feel.”
Katie asked “As a friend, what would you tell me to do right now?"
Michelle told her “You need to get rid of him baby. I’ve told you.”
Katie replied “I tell you what. If he’s done stories . . . that is it.”
