Katie Price has finally quit the jungle, demanding: “I’m a Celebrity, Get Me out of Here!” The former glamour model known as Jordan threw in the towel after completing her sixth Bushtucker Trial.
Miss Price had entered the programme in the hope of winning back some support in the wake of her acrimonious split with Peter Andre, but was singled out by the public for the gruesome tasks time and again.
Despite begging the public to give her a break, the trials kept coming for Katie and she endured cockroaches, rats and terrifying insects at the behest of the voters.
The final straw came after she finished a meal of flies and insects - and was then told she had been voted into the next trial as well. Katie finally snapped “I won't do anymore, I've told them I won't do anymore” before speaking to producers to tell them she was on her way.
It is unclear if Price will lose the massive £350,000 pay-packet which she had lined up for her appearance.
Katie had also spoken of quitting ahead of her final trial, saying: “I want to go. Is there any way I can get out?
“I just want to go home, I'm bored. How many more can a girl possibly do? The public have seen me with bugs, terrified, they’ve seen me cry.”
After getting through the relatively easy trial with 12 out of 13 stars, poor Katie once more begged the public to leave her alone, whining: “Please don't vote me tomorrow, please, I've had enough.
“Everyone else, give them something to do. You've seen me struggle, you've seen me cry, shake, want to die. I really don't want to be doing this.”
