Legendary music manager Robert Stephenson has claimed that X Factor twins John and Edward Grimes remind him of U2. The 56-year-old told reporters that he believes that the boys will go on to become "megastars" like the famous rock band.
Stephenson was the manager who "discovered" U2 and brought them to the attention of record bosses in London.
He told the Daily Star: "They had a spark that reminded me of U2, the first band I was ever involved with, and which made me want to engage them.
"What strikes me is that my first impressions of Jedward and U2 were so similar.
"I didn't think U2 was the best band in town but I remember taking them for drinks and being charmed by their youthful exuberance and naive honesty.
"It was the same with Jedward."
Robert also said that John and Edward would "probably not" win this year's X Factor.
He added: "I won't be surprised if they get to the final. Let's face it, The X Factor is not a singing contest, it's a soap opera."
