He ran out the winner in the first of the daily Bush Battles screened in last night’s show (Friday Nov 20) which means he is now exempt from the first vote off.
Stuart had been of six celebrities forced to rough it in camp Exile after the celebs had been split into two opposing teams.
They were then forced to compete in a team trial to see who would return to the relative luxury of the tarted up base camp.
With the added bonus that the winning team would be granted immunity from the first public vote off.
The 30-year-old year-old actor ended up on the losing side alongside former EastEnder Lucy Benjamin, How Clean Is Your House star Kim Woodburn, Sam Fox, ageing Hollywood star George Hamilton and celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo.
But Stuart’s stay in Exile proved short lived as he managed to beat out his fellow exiled celebs in a Bush Battle endurance test. Although judging by the bond that had developed between all of them nobody seemed keen to go.
The trial involved them try to prevent water flowing out of a tube by having to keep their fingers over two holes in the side.
In an exceedingly good natured, knockabout, slapstick battle that showed off the camaraderie that has already developed in the group George Hamilton was in particularly fine and funny form, mischievously squirting Kim and Lucy.
He also had the group in stitches as he took the mickey out of Katie Price during the trail, mimicking her drama queen antics by hamming it up and saying: ‘Oh I can’t take another minute of it, oh my god, oh this hurts so bad. I think I’m going to have to give up right now.’”
When push came to shove with the other celebs happy to forego the competition it came down to a straight duel between Stuart and George- with the younger man emerging victorious after an unconcerned Hamilton decided Exile was best.
Stuart’s appearance at base camp was met with told- you- so glee that they knew he would be the first one back. If he knew what a fractious group he was returning to he might have thought twice.
As it was he voiced his regret at leaving his chums behind and one of the remaining five is now certain to be voted off the show.
