As a fan of dogs, Vicky Lee was more than up for her latest challenge – dog grooming!
“I love dogs, I also love everything to do with dogs. Sometimes I feel like jacking in this whole TV thing and becoming a dog walker. Today though I’m going to find out what it’s like to be a dog groomer. How exciting!”
Vicky was shipped off to Wizard of Paws Canine Care Centre in Glasgow, to take on her latest mission, which would see her shampooing, drying and cutting the hair of pampered pooches.
Professional dog groomer Peter Rose said: “If she’s not got patience she couldn’lt possibly have a day grooming dogs. It can be quite trying at times, quite a challenge, and the dogs are quite often are under duress because sometimes they don’t want to be standing there on the grooming table being groomed, so we have to be sympathetic to that also.”
After being given a tour of the place, including the special grooming salon, Vicky got to work on Willow the dog, who decided to soak the poor reporter in a layer of soap and water!
Then Vicky’s next client, Marley arrived. After shampooing, drying and brushing Marley’s coat, she finished him off with a nice layer of dog fragrance, to round-off his pamper day.
And it seems that she was a natural, with Peter concluding: “I think Vicky did brilliantly, she can have a job here any time.”
