Corrie's Rosie Webster is to undergo a boob job in the New Year, according to reports. The Weatherfield minx is played by 19-year-old actress Helen Flanagan.
Rosie makes the decision to have breast surgery after starting a job as a promotions girl.
The storyline will come at the same time as her mum Sally (Sally Whittaker) begins her battle against breast cancer.
Viewers will see Sally telling her family that she needs to have a lumpectomy to remove a malignant tumour from her breast.
A source told The Sun: "The bosses are well aware of the controversy this storyline will cause.
"But they've researched all the implications and also looked at how it may affect teenage girl viewers and are determined to go ahead and show it - warts and all."
It is believed that Rosie's cosmetic surgery will be paid for by her new boss at the promotions agency.
Rosie's father Kevin (Michael Le Vell) is not happy with her latest job but the mischievous teenager is thrilled with the thought she will meet footballers and TV stars at her club appearances.
