Katie Price was voted to do the Deathly Burrows Bushtucker trial on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! She was nervous and seemed upset that the public wanted her to “suffer.”
Katie took part in the 2004 series of the hit show and famously fell in love with Peter Andre - her now her ex-husband.
Speaking to the cameras after her nomination was announced Katie addressed the viewers by saying: “That’s so out of order.”
On a more positive note though, Miss Price does seem to be making friends in the camp. Her fellow celebrities have described the glamour model as “very strong” and “tough as boots.”
As she made her way to meet Ant and Dec and face the trial, she said: “They’re a strong group of people. They seem quite supportive. But that’s because they’re not hungry at the moment. I know when hunger comes; they know they want you to get the stars.”
She then added that although she was trying to act brave, she was very nervous: “I may look laid back but my belly is turning. But the public has put me up to do it. They obviously think I deserve to do an awful challenge.”
The trial started with Katie having to burst through a mud wall. She quickly retrieved a star but, soon afterwards, a wall of cockroaches fell on her. She burrowed further through, bursting more mud walls and collecting stars.
As she collected her fourth star, a wave of water shot down the tunnel and washed her into a tank. The glamour model screamed to be let out and was visibly shaken and frightened. As she was pulled out of the tank by a medic, she appeared breathless and very panicky.
Ant and Dec reassured her that she had done really well by retrieving four stars, but the celebrity returned to the camp deflated and disappointed.
At the end of tonight’s show, the presenters announced that the viewers had cast their votes for the celebrity who they wanted to do the next trial, Celebrity In A Bottle. Low and behold, to her utter disgust, Katie Price is up again!
