Simon Cowell has said he is not surprised by Sharon Osbourne's attack on Britain's Got Talent runner-up Susan Boyle. Sharon previously worked with Simon as a judge on the X Factor.
She sparked a row by mocking Boyle's appearance, saying the singer looked like a "slapped a**e" along with a number of other insulting remarks.
X Factor boss Cowell does not think the comments are out of character for the TV personality.
A source told the Daily Mail: "This is so typical of Sharon. She never knows when to keep her mouth shut."
Susan is signed to Cowell's record lable SyCo following her success on Britain's Got Talent.
The Scots singer is rumoured to be appearing in a Christmas TV special "An Audience with Susan Boyle".
The 48-year-old will sing tracks from her debut album, according to the News of the World.
Susan will also talk about her life before and after winning the talent contest in an hour-long show.
The programme is being tipped as ITV's biggest winner in the Christmas ratings battle.
