Jamie `Afro" Archer was "under huge pressure" to deliver during Rock Week on The X Factor, says Holly Willoughby. The Xtra Factor host told Phillip Schofield on This Morning that the rocker thought that viewers were expecting a "special performance" from him on Saturday night's show.
Holly said: "Actually I think that he did very well. He has been struggling with song choices and with Louis Walsh saying that `he's a pub singer'.
"But I spoke to Jon Bon Jovi, who performed on Sunday night, about Jamie and he thought he was great."
Holly revealed that Jamie told her that he was "not bothered" about Louis' disparaging comments.
She explained: "Jamie was on the Xtra Factor and he said `to be honest, I don't really care what Louis thinks because some people are going to like you and some aren't.
"Louis just doesn't like him and Jamie's happy to just let that go."
Holly also said that she thought that Rock Week had started to "show the men from the boys".
She said: "It was interesting because some of the guys who have been less noticeable in the competition really came into their own. Then the kind of massive people, like Danyl Johnson, who everybody has been loving, really struggled."
