Katie Price was reportedly concerned about her personal safety on her book signing tour following the recent attack on X Factor winner Leona Lewis.
The reality star took extra security precautions at her event in Dublin but still reportedly suffered from a panic attack, according to a report.
Jordan, aka Katie, is now considering increasing security at her £2.5million mansion in Woldingham, Surrey. The glamour model is said to be planning to erecting an electric fence around the perimeter of the property.
The 31-year-old is also believed to have received letters from a crank threatening to harm her beloved horses.
A source told the News of the World: "[Katie] was in tears about the threats. She can't understand why someone would be so evil. She got very anxious on Friday.
"It was basically a panic attack. She needed to sit down and be comforted by friends.
"She can understand why people might not like her but to call her all those evil names and threaten innocent animals is disgusting."
They added: "Jordan was as stunned as anyone about the attack on Leona and now she has become a target herself.
"It has made her stop and think about her security and that of her three children."
"She made sure security was extra tight at the book signing yesterday.
"If someone can attack a sweet girl like Leona who has never said a bad thing about anyone then she knows that someone as outspoken as her is an even bigger target."
